Despite what the American public has said and the CBO has claimed, these Jackasses continue to rush a bill that doesn't go into effect until 2013. Its a trillion dollar scam. The CBO said it will only cover 2% of those under 65 and onlyy about 6 million will enroll. $1 trillion divided by 6 million sounds like numbers only a member of the Jackass party could love.

@john51880 The red tape is the fault of the greedy worthless for profit health care industry. They are nothing but a worthless middleman. They are an intruder in the system. They are also a death panel. They come close to doubling the costs, and for what? ... nothing but some jackass telling everybody what to do. @john51880..I have been denied care more than a few times from the American system.. I needed surgery on my broken shoulder with badly damaged joints and my insurance wouldn't cover it. I became more and more crippled as it got worse. U may have a good enough job, but they way a single woman is treated by the system is not the way my dad , for example , is treated. As far as Africa goes, i would never even travel there. They don't have Universal care and not a Industrialized nation.

@Textynn I am sorry for your loss. I don't dought a word of it. But government screwed up health care. More government is not the answer! Most of my family is or has been in medicine. Some have moved on to other jobs because of red tape or dealing with hmo's.

@john51880 I was refused ER care in a hospital in Palmdale Ca because i didn't have my insurance card on me. i was having a second trimester miscarriage. They wouldn't let me in even tho I was crying and begging. They said I was a drug addict which was totally untrue and they had no reason to think that. I went home and got worse and went back. They still wouldn't let me in. So I called 911 over one of their phones and then they finally admitted me. The baby had no chance due to that.

@Textynn I have worked in several country's with socialized medicine. Don't give a dam if you believe me or not. I will choose the united states over any where to get sick or have to be hospitalized. I waited hrs and hrs once bleeding to get attention in Canada. First hand GB is not so great to deal with. God help you if you get hurt any where in Africa!

@john51880 U're talking to someone who was working and got so sick I was literally on a death bed. After all my savings were soaked up by COBRA, for basically nothing, I lay in that death bed in severe chronic pain for almost 2 years with no medical intervention. Nothing is more inferior than the system we have now.  The system we have kills, cripples, and destroys people financially and leaves them homeless. @Textynn They sell drugs cheaper in other country's because the trial lawyers don't own their government like here in the states. Tort reform is not needed like it is here. Figures lie and lier's figure. I have seen the sub par quality first hand in other country's Most of those country's you refer to pay far less out of pocket but far more in taxes to subsidize medical costs. Socialized medicine is not cheaper any where. .

@Textynn I just saw your message regarding your loss of coverage. Finally I read a compelling argument from you. I oppose nationalized healthcare, but I favor govt oversight of the insurance industry to prevent what happened to you.
