This video is directed towards one individual who claimed to know a lot about Bushcraft and yet could not get a campfire going with all the right tools.Rather than producing effective results he produced much pointless blame, specifically on this particular item in the video,"Which he had SEVERAL of". This is just a demonstration for him to learn from.
For the record, I am no expert on Bushcraft either.

4 or 5 cotton balls in each one, I usually keep a few in each of my pack .
