@CDHvids i wouldn't really put mayer up there much further than DRH. especially cause he cant hold a candle to most of the "singer/songwriters" of this generation like amos lee, ray lamontagne, etc. neither of them are really true storytellers, mayer just has a fuller sound to compensate for it. his lyrics are great, dont get me wrong, but they have no premise or true story, (for the most part)

DRH is amazing and nothing like john mayer, just because they both play love songs we shouldn't compare them they are two totally different artist, and i love DRH so much more than john mayer, he's just nicer to listen too.

disagree...DRH has got a muh better control over his vocal range than Mayer. Yet, the latter has a better knowledge of the guitar neck.

John Mayer cant even carry his voice like DRH...Mayer has the guitar skill on DRH tho...if he had DRH's voicing skills he'd be beyond awsome.
