In The Studio.. with Brazilian Girls! (Ep. 6)

So, once again we're in the studio. This time its Father's Day weekend. We're only up there for one day, but we get a lot done, and still make it home in time for Father's Day! Tiring, but worth it. We hook up with the RnB group "Deep 3" (link below). Be sure to be watching out for them on BET's 106 & Park on August 27th, vote for them! We also met (for the first time): DJ Michele (and kids) aka the hottest DJ in Miami! As well as Yasmin Gontijo, a great singer straight out of Brazil, also part of a group named RYO who we have yet to meet. We didn't really know until after we left but Yasmin is HUGE in Brazil, check out her bio!

**From the cradle of Brazilian music comes a rare talent. YASMIN, the 17 year old singer has dazzled many with her incredible voice and unique performance. Her career speaks for itself. YASMIN GONTIJO's talent has been around since her 5 years old, when she recorded her debut album. Since then, YASMIN started to call attention from every part of the music industry and the media, appearing in all the major TV stations in Brazil. Searching for a charismatic and talented singer, ABRIL MUSIC hired YASMIN. Their choice went successful when they saw Yasmin, with only 8 years old, hitting the 1 chart with the song "Declaration" which provided her a huge Brazil tour and the theme song for the movies "Pokemon 1" and "Pokemon 2".
It's already 3 cds recorded, 500,000 sold only in Brazil and unnumbered special appearances on events like the 2004 Para-Olympic Games on Athens, the theme song for "POKEMON 1" and "POKEMON 2" and three theme songs for 3 soap operas on Brazil:
"With You" for Prova de Amor, "Acontece, Esquece" for Luz do Sol and "Meu jeito de agir" for Essas Mulheres, all of them acclaimed by the critics. YASMIN's powerful singing was heard overseas and reached USA, where she had already recorded one album, but she couldn't imagine that the best was yet to come. In 2005 on Nashville - TN, a Classic Jazz project was initiated, a genre that allows only the very prepared to enter, and YASMIN strongly stepped in the "jazz room" and performed four classics, " Teach me Tonight", "Misty", Japan's most famous song "Sukiyaki" and brazilian world hit "Aquarela do Brasil".**
