Is the California government going to bring the rest of the United States down a path to fiscal ruin? Find out.

I left the "Golden State" a dozen years ago. I lived there 25 years. It was great at first, perfect weather, no bugs, ideal scenery, lots of things to do. Then the ever presant liberalism began to go insane. There is a madness that arises from the liberal mentality that eventually causes the death of everything around it. The place I lived became a defacto homeless and illegal alien sancuary. They were gifted with rights that the working people did not posess. It became unlivable so I left.

30 years ago, CA was beautiful. A lot of Americans wanted to go there. Now many just try to stay away.

Southwest Airlines, Whole Foods Market, Inc, Half Priced Books, Dell Inc., Shiner Bock, first margarita machine, Neiman Marcus, Whataburger, and we have our own grid, and to many oil, and gas corperations that are home grown here. And you still belive that you came from a fish.

But Texas does not have home grown businesses yet. These are all import businesses. The culture of California still brings in new ideas. Texas still believes in 6000 year earth history

Unfortunatly Calif is becoming so bad that even the liberals flee. They look for a well run city with a conservative government and a budget surplus, and work to take it over. Once in control, they do the same things that forced them to flee in the first place, and the new place is ruined as well. Einstein once said that doing the same thing repeatedly and expecting different results is a form of insanity. Dr. Savage has a book "liberalism is a mental disorder". That is all you need to know.

Lived in CA during the same period as you, and left for the same reasons. A real tragedy, but they'll get what they deserve for their foolishness.
