"Wouldn't it be a wonderful world if insecurity and desperation made us more attractive?"--what a great line!

You will not go wrong with this film even 23 years later, still holds up. Just a great viewing experience throughout---insioghtful, and of course, Albert Brooks' finest hour.

Watch the film again, I think you misinterpreted the whole plot between the love triangle. PS She didn't not like Tom she just didn't respect him which I suppose is the same thing really?

I love the scene where he tells Jane that he lost one of her shoulder pads, he thinks it drowned :) so many great lines in this movie. One of my top 10 favourite films of all time x

I used to recommend this film as a guide to watch every decade of one's life. I now suggest every 5 - if I were a kid today...every month just to keep one grounded.

wish someone would post the scene where he says Tom is the devil, that writing was great, such a great scene.

The dialogue in the classic movie is unbelievably rich. Most the current films can't even come close the this type of clever dialogue. Sadly, James L Brooks has lost his creative mojo. I have not given up on him. I want him to have a major feature film comeback.
