cool clowns! how big are they at 3 weeks old..? b/c i have a pair of clowns i just got and they are no more than an inch in size so how old would you presume they are..?

@doRYEmon
The babies in this video are about 3 weeks old and probably 1/4" long head to tail. It takes about 6 months before they are 1" long. There are other factors involved, like whether or not they are male or female, but that would be my best guess.

Is there a way you can show us a video of your tank setup. I have only been able to keep my fry alive 3 days and then I find them at the bottom. I'm thinking my tank setup is wrong. I know they say you can't shine bright lights in there, but they have to be able to see the rotifers swimming ... what type of lighting do you use??

I am not currently raising baby clowns, so there's no way to get a video...sorry. But the tank is just a 10-gallon tank with an airline in one corner and a heater. I use a 'twirly' fluorescent light that is in a lamp that can be turned up towards the ceiling. I point it up, away from the tank, and that gives them enough light to see but not so much that they end up swimming on the bottom to get away from it. I keep the light on 24/7 from the minute I put them in the tank.

amazing, can i ask you what you feed them to start with, is it possible to do it something simple like baby brine shrimp? raising/buying live rots is very time consuming

baby brine shrimp are way too big for them when they are first born. You have to start off with rotifers...sorry. But rotifers are really simple, if you do it the easy way. Use glycerin-free phyto paste, a bucket, no air, and a cover. You will be amazed at the results.
