Serenity is looking for a home ...

My name is Serenity, but my friends call me "Sere". I am a 4-year old female pit mix with more love to give than could possibly fit in my 40-lb body. My story is a sad one and includes being found wandering the streets looking for food and spending time at a high-kill shelter before ending up in rescue. I am trying to put that in the past and am looking forward to the day when I finally find a home to call my own.

I am eager to please and a quick learner. In fact I have already mastered SIT, STAY, DOWN, DROP, COME, PICK-IT-UP, PAW, KISSES and I am anxious to continue my training. In fact, as you read this I am studying for my Canine Good Citizen Certificate and learning agility.

My dream home would have lots of toys (especially soft ones), treats, belly rubs, long walks, sun bathing and pretty much anything that allows me to spend time with my human friends.

Because of what I have been through it can take me a few minutes to warm up to new people. Once I do, I am quick with a kiss or a wag of the tail. Actually, I have been told I am a bit of a "goof". I don't know exactly what that means, but I believe it has something to do with my love of life and the fact that I will do anything to make you smile.

I have made some canine friends, but I would prefer...dare I say deserve...to be the only dog in the home.
