Are you a fan of the darker movies? Do Batman, Touch of Evil, Sin City, and The Maltese Falcon make you pee your pants (You don't pee your pants while watching your favorite movies!?!...well...yea...me neither)? Learn how to get that look with the right lighting, writing, and tons of other great tips. Even if you don't make movies...this ode to Film Noir will have you jumping in your seat (or promptly leaving it).

  • Hey, great video. Some nice lighting there. If you get the chance can you take a look at my film noir student film I made (it's called D.A) and let me know what you think. Thanks.

  • Wish you would have given more instruction, rather than making a gratuitous bad film.

  • great to know there are so many other Neo Noir films being made. I thought I was alone. just filmed a short called Battery Row. Thanks for the tips.

  • I really love this tutorial. I'm making film noirs myself, and you came up with some good obvious points I've never even thought of

  • 3:32 BEST LINE EVER DELIVERED!

  • @darkfox404 and some saxophone tops it off

  • it seems you like using rayman music for your noir films a the end. :P

  • It would have been better if it was shot in frame mode or 24p and given a slight grain effect using Magic Bullet film looks.

  • @darkfox404 or saxophone
