  • See, if I saw something that big running toward me making that noise, I would run for the hills:) I was scared for you when it first charged, but then it became soooo cute right away.

  • @hothotheat3000 I was calling her, so she was very exited to hear my voice. To be honest, I also was a little scared, but the key to animal care, is not to be scared. I was confident that she was not going to hurt me, because we were good friends. I once came to her rescue, when she was very scared too. As a matter of facts, this elephant had been rescued by us from a very bad situation of starvation and abuse.

  • I can't believe this doesn't have more views! I love this video so much :) I watched it a while ago and then had to hunt it down again so I could favorite it. A beautiful relationship between friends :))))

  • @chiblingbaby thank you! I have more videos of the same elephant and also with her new friend, which is a 4 year old elephant girl. Laksmipriya is very protective of her adopted baby. Just search for Mayapur elephants and you will find them

  • This is beautiful.

  • @keano99351 we are trying the Loving approach to Temple elephant care. We do not use any iron hooks or other horrible instruments to control our elephant. We use the "carrot and stick" method to train our elephants. They do something right, we give a treat. if they do some thing wrong, we show the little stick. This is also called positive reinforcement.

  • This is just incredible. Goes to show how intelligent these gentle pachyderms are. Hrimatidasi, my sincere prayers for a long life for you.

She likes a lot of things, like carrots, sugar cane different kinds of fruits or vegetables etc. When she comes to my home, I give her (them) wheat bran mix with other grains, like soaked horse gram or rice. basically, anything raw is okay. We never give anything cooked and especially no cooked human food made with oil etc. Elephants can not digest that. they do not even have a gallbladder. .... like me, they took mine, plus the appendix, out during the surgery ....

  • @hrimatidasi --I am sorry about your surgery. What was it for ? What food treats does your elephant like most ? Do you give her a small piece or a large amount each time? Do you have more videos of you and she ? Please post more ! Thank you !

  • @durgaaa

I see her every day. In this film, i had been hospitalized for some days and due to illness, was not able to see Laksmipriya for at least 10-15 days. on my way home,we stopped by her place. as you can see, I was still a bit wobbly on my legs after a double surgery. However, this elephant gives me strength...
