This video was produced by children from the Joshua Project's education programme and features Jonathan Reed's poem "Lost Generation".

The Joshua Project is working with children and young people to see them overcome barriers that block them from realising their potential. We have a Big Dream for a hope filled future that these children and young people can grasp. In our Big Dream the following barriers are broken down: poverty, educational disaffection, family breakdown, substance misuse, criminal activity, low self esteem, lack of self worth or sense of value, social exclusion and unfulfilled aspirations. This Big Dream is coming true, we're now able to tell story after story of lives that have been transformed. The Joshua Project is helping to see this Big Dream come true which in turn is providing hope to a generation that is growing up under a cloud of hopelessness. To see more stories of transformation occur and our Big Dream come true will take long-term commitment. That and generous sprinklings of faith, hope, laughter and just plain off the wall thinking that sees as possible what others think is impossible. It's costly. There's pain every inch of the way. But it works. We have simply learnt to dream and imagine different possibilities and then we put in the blood, sweat and tears. Day in day out. At our convenience and inconvenience.
Our Big Dream is the children and young people's Big Dream. We are enabling them to be part of the solution. I'd like to ask you to also become part of the solution. Here's how you can do it:
At 2pm on Tuesday 19th July we will be launching the 200 Challenge. The challenge is simply this, in 200 hours we hope that 200 people will commit to supporting our ongoing vital work by pledging to give £10 a month through their bank. 200 hours will take us up to 10pm on Wednesday 27th July. The money from this challenge will go directly to the front line big dream work with children and young people. It will help sustain the current work we are doing which will in turn provide us with the space to continue to dream big for these children and young people. These tight economic times mean that we are operating in a hand to mouth way, the generosity of 200 people will help us plan for the future in a sustainable way.
To be one of the 200 who will take up the challenge to become part of the solution and help make this Big Dream come true all you have to do is send us the following details, we will compile them on a letter to your bank and return them to you to sign with a stamped addressed envelope:
