  • Did you change your fuel filter? If the scooter was sitting for awhile it might be gunked up... also check if your fuel tank has its own little filter permanently installed.. mine had been sitting for almost 2 years and there was some rust in the tank which i cleaned out, but I didn't notice the little filter at the bottom of the tank right away. it drove me nuts for awhile until i discovered it was there and removed it and cleaned it. i had to remove the fuel line from the tank to get at it

  • @plupkination i looked at a diagram of the gas tank and there is a thing that looks like a filter inside of it. apparently i can just pull it out after i remove that gas pump thing. i check it out but i started the engine with no ful lines on and gas did spurt out of the pump thing

  • @plupkination Its worth a shot to take it out and backflush/clean it with something like GUMOUT... When you have it out take a look inside the tank with a bright flashlight and see if there is rust. If there is an in line filter in the fuel line definitely replace that tho.

  • @plupkination i runs very shitty right now. only idle. starving for fuel

  • @borderlineartistic yea could be reeds altho i doubt it.. if something were wrong with those it prob wouldn't run at all.. if anything try tightening them so they can't open so far. I would check the main bearing seals, those are most likely to wear out and cause a vacuum leak.. if you see any oil on the outside of them you will know they are leaky. Is there an air filter on your carb? 2-strokes can run rough if the air filter isn't properly installed due to a loss of vacuum, also.

  • @plupkination im going to take it apart and check the reed cage and reeds etc cu thats the only thing i can think of anymore. its fueling. i dont think its the oil. it would run for a while before fouling

  • @borderlineartistic Did you try mixing your own fuel? You don't have to do it on a permanent basis, but it will at least let you find out if it is the 2-stroke oil causing the plug to foul.. try that, then if that doesn't work I would say try pressure testing the motor to see if there are any vacuum leaks. If THAT fails to produce a solution, then I would get myself some new piston rings. Beyond that maybe a new ignition coil? IDK

  • @plupkination turns out the kill switch was on lol. but i did get a new plug and a gapping tool today and the same thing happens. full charge even

  • @borderlineartistic yea the spark is really weak 'cuz the plug is fouled! I told you.. Your battery being really low isn't helping the situation much either. Anyway I told you the solution in my case. I cleaned the plug and re-gapped it a little narrower then MFG spec so the spark is a bit stronger. I also stopped using the oil injection system and mixed my own fuel, a really low oil mix so the plug wouldn't foul again so easily, and its been doing fine since. 2-stroke 4EVER! :o)

  • @plupkination i took it out and cleaned it and tried to put it against metal then crank the engine to see if it sparked. it didnt. new plug going in today hopefully (I have no transportation but a bike! )
