Nope, the acid part definitely isn't sampled.
I've recreated it on ReBirth using a 303 and distortion (the one in rebirth)
Sounds indistinguishable from the original, if you tweak things right. So not sampled.

What part are you talking about that acid bit at the end is a 303.I think they used a minimoog for the wow.But you can use any 3 osc synth with attack and decay controls.I think the only part thats sample is the thing that isn't drums.You know the one i'm talking about, the thing that goes da dan da da,da,da.
