Joel's Clarinet Practice

My 9 year old working hard on his grade 5 piece, Mozart Divertimento No.3, second movement, Minuet and Trio. He's only had this piece since April (6 weeks) so he's doing really well with it.

You've got to post what he gets because I took the grade 8 exam and I got 92.

I did say working on his grade 8 - it's a 2 year project, and he started in May, so a long way off yet, but it's not impossible, and he wants a distinction, so slow and steady to cover everything thoroughly. He studies at the Royal College of Music, and is in the National Childrens Orchestra. He's worked very hard for this.

What are all these comments about grade 8 if he is only 9. I am confuse can someone clear this up. Like do you mean like school grade.

Well done looking forward to my son trying this level he is nine too, going on towards his grade 3 only started playing feb last year. seeing other kids on the net the same age as him is really confdence boosting. Congrats

He needs to work on his timing quite a lot, apart from that, for his age he's quite good. Keep up the good work little man x
