Yep, on SLF Darts the ignition switch is on the middle of the dash board, I had the honor of switching on the ignition on a Brand new trident once, all warning lights and buzzers flashed up. 'WOW!'. On the older step Darts the ignition switch is to the side near the handbreak lever.

Surley it Should be on unless your talking of the Ignition Switch which i only just found out were it was on the dashboard and persumerbally is in the same postion with most other Dennis Models! , I think i could sucsessfuly start a Dart! Gear : N , Igniton , *BEEP* Engine Start! , On another note once i got on a Scania Ominidekka , when the driver switched on the Engine the Wheelchair ramp sounded :S

Not an expert on this but I think the beep usually comes on when the master switch is activated and the lights show on the dash board, the beep also comes on when the bus needs more air/fault as on one of hamsters video's or a loose connection with wiring and stuff.

Scania going bust is news to me :-(. They are really nice buses too. Thats a shame.

No mate, it was in 2002 before I started to film properly. It was a Plaxton bodied 02 London General Dennis Trident, I wish I had filmed it :-(. Got some more of engines switching on which I sandwich between clips every so often anyway.
