Today, Doctor Campbell will be demonstrating how dry ice changes it's state from solid straight to gas. A process known as sublimation. He also shows you some of the fun you can have with solid carbon dioxide

  • @mooodflow What the hell do you think driert means? Are you trying to use a computer whilst wearing sheep skin gloves? If so, take them off.

  • Hey "Eric" - who you calling a douche? I do have a philosophy doctorate - does that count?

    Anyhow, thanks for watching...

  • @almgp26 It's better than that - My doctorate was in microbial proteomics :)

  • Awesome video, I don't know why anybody would be a hater

  • @dan110024 Completely wrong, you should probably slap yourself and then read what you wrote again.

  • hi class its me

  • @almgp26 Yo moron, he has a PH.D, meaning a Doctor of Philosophy. It doesn't mean he studied philosophy.

  • cool. chemistry is awesome

  • This is a fantastic video that I have used in my Physics lessons when we can't get hold of dry ice. Your video has made a difference to hundreds of budding young scientists as it really captured their imaginations and helped them understand more about sublimation. Thank you very much on their behalf

  • With your little air hockey example... Theoretically, if you had an environment with 0% moisture content, would it not let off gas? What I'm getting at is, is it letting off gas when it's not in water because of the moisture content in the air? Or have I got it completely wrong? :)

  • What's with people debating what he's qualified in? Youtube comments never cease to amaze me. ...and Driert-Ice? LOL!!!!

  • This guy creeps the shit outta me... I wound;t want him anywhere near me with no Gas syringe
