The Wedge raw unedited video tape of a huge rogue set of 12 plus waves that rolled in about 8:00am on Saturday July 25, 2009.

Huge south groundswell out of Cook Islands hit the Newport Beach Wedge this weekend creating perfect conditions and 18 foot to maybe 20 foot waves for skilled surfers only. This video was shot around 8:00am on Saturday, July 25, 2009 several hours after a minus low tide. Looked bigger than newport wedge during 2008, 2007, 2006, 2005, 2004, 2003, 2002, or even 2001 have to go back to 1990s for bigger sets.

We were on the second lifeguard tower with a prime view.
