SAN FRANCISCO -- Crewmembers from Coast Guard Station San Francisco teach Sea Scouts proper techniques for firefighting, cold water survival, shooting off flares, damage control and dewatering at the 15th annual Safety at Sea training held at Coast Guard Sector San Francisco on Yerba Buena Island Saturday, Oct. 24, 2009. Carl Shellhorn, skipper of the Sea Scout ship Chaser, describes the training that Sea Scouts from Southern California, Utah, and the Bay Area attended. There were 300 participants and 23 vessels involved the two-day training. (U.S. Coast Guard video by Petty Officer 3rd Class Levi Read)

@SKULLKIDaIrSoFt That must cost a lot to repair since you have a steel rub rail (unlike our full rubber one, which I just put brand new bolts on). I guess everyone took damage this year, did you hear that the Gyrphon slammed into the Sea Witch and put a hole in their hull? We might come for regattas, but we have not set next years schedule up.

@VERT531CA Check it out Brain-power:
Any program that offers today's youth with positive alternatives to taking bong hits and playing video games is not a joke.Don't criticize people who are doing something good.
Apperantly something you didn't learn in Sea Cadets was how to live by core values.
