Start of the 5-3-1 on cambered bar incline bench presses. This was also my first cycle with 2 sets of 5 rep, and using 85% of my training max for this and do as many reps as I can. Got ten reps with 180, this was after flat bench, I think I may have been good for 11-12 if I started with this.

Actual max: 235 pounds
Training max: 210 pounds, 90% of 235.

Sets in order:

135 x 5
160 x 5
180 x 10

Next week is the 3 sets of 3 rep cycle.

  • I want that bar...that like boubles the range of motion!!!HOw much do you think roughly one would cost?

  • 100-200 bucks I think, look it up online.

  • damn i want that bar

  • Yeah these are good for building lower half power. The range of motion can be rough on the chest though, if you train with a camber bar don't train with it all the time, just throw it in your routine every once in a while.

  • It can be a pretty nice tool for training the lower half of your bench but be careful and don't overuse to much, throwing it in every now and then is ok but the range of motion can be pretty rough.

  • yea i bouthgt one last night for 179.99

  • I probably won't anytime soon, unless they decide to ban all the immature and disrespectful people on that site. I honestly think that forum is a disgrace somewhat in letting those types of people join, I am assume most of the trash talkers are probably no even adults, but sometimes it seems like there are adults who act like them as well, so it is even more disgraceful to see grown men act that way.

  • yeah man you are totally right. Respect is the key. If you had bad experience with the website its ok man, just don't sing up =)

    Peace!

  • If you don't believe me i will gladly show you the links, I think they usually talk trash in the misc section. But after seeing the way they treated me and my friends, I don't really want to join that website, if there is on rule I think most weightlifters should follow is respect one another, and also learn to respect all sides of weightlifting, and learn more about someone's training style before you bad mouth them.

  • wow, its weird cuz I join about 6 months now and never had any problem with no one. Everyone seem really polite and respectful... You should go to the strongman/powerlifter section, There is more decent ppl out there,, anyways.. im not trying to sell you anything, I was just asking =D
