Practicing drumming rudiments on pads. The video clip is only to demonstrate the practice of basic rudiments which consist and can be appiled to most types of drumming( pipe band, marching, rock, jazz etc. Most of the rudiments being played in the clip can be found in any drum tutor...good examples are joe morellos books and Buddy Richs snare drum rudiments. 5 stroke rolls, triplets, closed roll, flams etc. Also the video clips purpose is to demonstrate and practice technique!!!! Once you have mastered some of the rudiments you can apply it to your drumming. Please do enjoy the clip for what is meant to show.... RUDIMENTS AND TECHNIQUE!!!! Happy practicing!!!!

  • Amazing technique and a great reminder that one can be very musical even with just a practice pad and pillows.

  • @theantiantihero Thank you :) You are very kind to comment.

  • haha ! awesome! I wonder how you manage to keep that pad on the pillow ! :D Good stuff!

  • @SgtPeterFuck Many thanks for taking the time to watch ! Hope your drumming is going well and having fun !

  • hey man, fantastic technique! do you have any advice on how to get your doubles that clean and that fast? I'd appreciate it any feedback!

  • @Vicfirth5bb Thanks......what works for me is practicing rudiments slow and when I say slow I mean super slow!!! snail pace. Speed will eventually come and then apply bounce and the sound of the rudiment will change too !! Some things look harder than they actually are ! keeping loose, not tense helps too! keep up the good drumming!!!!

  • You make it look piss easy man, good work!

  • You make it look easy buddy!

  • Excellent stuff! I've been playing for 25 years, but have only recently really started working on rudiments. The kind of music i play for a living doesn't call for me to use them, it's just for own satisfaction. I wondered if you could give me any tips or excersises for combining rudiments as you do in this video. I currently can mix up my paradiddles (singles doubles etc), with single stroke and double stroke rolls etc, but I want to incorporate other rudiments like flam taps, flam accents etc.
