Launching a Chinook for an incident somewhere in the Stan... well... our take on what we do anyway.
P.S. If you're naive enough to believe that this is how we actually work then please keep your comments to yourselves; the cab was serviceable and nothing was done to cause any flight safety issues. The team carried out full checks, ensuring she was ready to go. No Chinooks were harmed during the making of this video... and the teams sanity was saved for another couple of days.

  • I'm sure 'Da Boss' is my CCF officer, who visits occasionally.

  • @IraznaGameplay If your CCF officer is Jim Hawkins then that's him... good bloke to work with

  • haha closing the ramp with the hand pump instead of using the hydraulic !! nice video !

  • @CheapAssz the hand pump is hydraulic...

  • @whitewingsrich You have obviously completely missed the point of the video... It was not made to show you what we do out there, it was made as a tribute i.e. piss take) to the American way of launching aircraft, hence the high-fives and arse slapping. You don't seriously think we launch a cab in this manner?

  • How times have changed. When I was in Gulf 1 on 18 (B) we never high fived during a AF-BF but as for arse slapping - the fairies more than made up for it!! Great times and I miss it all. Ex Appo
