FIRST START OF 1974 MGB ROADSTER WHILE MY WIFE CUSSES LIKE A SAILOR :)

I'm in the middle of my second restoration of a 1974 MGB roadster that I originally bought in 1988. This is the first time the car has been started since October 1998.
The funniest part was my wife trying to be funny by being all foul-mouthed since she didn't know she was on video.
The first half of this video is trying to get it started. The second half is of the car running and moving under its own power for the first time in over a decade. Still much to do but it's nice to know the engine survived its long hibernation.

DUNST 4N...Well my MG has 265,000 miles on it, sat for 10 years and then fired up after a few minor adjustments...forgive me if I think your judgment on "not good at all" is based on ignorance of the subject :)

hey if you didnt no , i think british layland built all mg's from 1970 onwards and they were not good at all , so its pretty god damn amazing you got that thing started.

Looks good! I also just finished a 74 RD. Hope its coming along well...Wish me luch, I'm starting a 64.5 Mustang that has been sitting 25 years.....

..Good show...I'm a couple of months away from putting my 73"...back on the road. It's getting a re-wire, a Weber and a few other things...check out the hi-tourqe starter from Brit-tec..
