  • "Join the men in mining". Who'd have thought Mrs Thatcher would shut 'em all down a few years later. Bitch.

  • 2:18 Sounds like the sync sound at the start of 'Alpha and Omega' by Boards of Canada...

  • 4:27 I bet people were thinking there's no way that's Olive!

  • Back when colaminers mined coal and football supporters looked like Max Bygraves, women ate, 'real', bread whilst hot-air balloon gliding, women in black and white cycled to see some old bloke get off a train and, 'on the buses', got its own colour suplement in the TV Times!

  • @gordongate Of course, the secret was that Fanny was actually Johnnie's gay brother in drag.

  • @rooftopjump "i wish i could get my doughnuts to look like Fanny's"

  • Johnnie - you blithering idiot!!

  • If the Chanel commercial had been shown after the introduction of decimal currency in 1971, it would have said "Chanel, from three hundred pounds (£300) to three pounds (and) ninety-five (new pence) (£3.95)" instead of "three pounds nineteen (£3/19/-)".

  • @jleer1 no, no it doesn't

  • The "Australia" advert looks more modern than the other adverts. It looks like it could be as many as 20 years later than it was, probably.
