Ray Kurzweil about new words, software, and empathy

I caught up with Ray Kurzweil at the iLabs Singularity Summit in Milan, Italy on March 5. In this video he talks about his dissatisfaction with the terms transhumanism, virtual reality, artificial intelligence, about the importance of understanding how reliable our software systems have become, and the empathy that we are starting to prove towards systems displaying even rudimentary levels of general intelligence, like IBM Watson. He ends with a quip about his long bet with Mitch Kapor about the turing test.

If Ray is correct in predicting the rapid changes within the next 25 years. I hope that are values change with it because we as a whole today are conditioned to money bringing about greed. We are conditioned to the idea there is good and bad. Is a headhunter in the amazon with 50 shrunken heads bad? or a product of his environment? We believe there is freewill along with words with no referent "freedom" "democracy" "patriotism" ask 10 people to define it and you get different opinions.

@MsHannahRoss true, this guy predicted the internet, human genome project, smart chess computer, fall of soviets, etc... now he predict a singularity which will usher in virtual infinite progress, infinitely intelligent, wise, powerful, and creative AIs, which in ending point will result in the omega point, in which AIs will infinitely transcend the infinite mind, and all the imaginative macroverses and dimensions!!! keke ^_^
