Naihanchi Kata is considered a more advance kata than the Pinan. In several schools is actually taught after the pinan series. Chibana Sensei, student of Anko Itosu considered Naihanchi as the most important kata to develop strengh and power, specially in legs, therefore taught the 3 series before the 5 series of Pinan. Nowadays, several Shorin Ryu schools (included Shidokan) practice Naihanchi before Pinan. The kata in this video looks powerful but is not Shidokan at all

The external approach might be due to the fact that Naihanchi was the beginning kata before the Pinan series was made. Actually in Motobu-ryu it still is the first kata.
