to those who say "you have to speak like this if you wanna have success in life", well, i can tell you, you definitely don't. i repeat: were there people who helped you instead? where there? oh yes? then talk about them, don't waste your 15 minutes.
don't forget that the best way to humiliate your opponents is to just ignore them though you're big enough to step on them: the fact that they're not even worth your feet will make 'em feel even smaller.
He did speak of those who helped him, however he wanted to talk about things that people DIDN'T know about.
MJ talks like this, because this is how he carried himself on the court, and this is how he truly feels about what drove him.
You people are ridiculous in thinking he should have a "typical" speech, however those minutes for him at the Hall of Fame are his, and this is Michael Jordan.
Greatest BB player ever, nobody will touch his Greatness.
what is a typical speech? i ain't saying he was supposed to cry like a baby (well he did anyways) or be an ass kisser or whatever. i just said: IF you have a limited range of time to speak then SELECT better the people you want to talk about. I haven't heard a word about Rodman and many others. I'd ignore my enemies. but this is just me, and I'm the biggest fan of MJ; yet i preferred Stockton speech. being a fan doesn't mean "to take everything as a piece of gold".
