  • 9:45 That slingshot is more destructive than the knight´s weapons. Really, it´s the first time in the show I see physical damage!!!

  • really?electric guitar and medevil times?!

  • A fair point. I think the overall idea is that resourcefulness wins out even over otherwise superior experience. To remove cartoons from the equation, look at the conflict between Britain and France over the Ohio territory before the Revolutionary War. It was won, not by the more experienced and disciplined British soldiers, but by flexible and resourceful Americans. In fact that early conflict was part of what cause many colonists to lose faith in England.

  • @Omnitrix12, but that's exactly my earlier point. Viper and co. are supposed to be bad asses but they end up looking like Scooby Doo villains along with Morgana, the Purple Horde and the other bad guys they faced. That's the basic rule of most cartoons is no matter how badass a villain or his group is they usually lose to the good guys-who especially have less experience than they do. Another example is Mumm-Ra from Thunderkats, an ageless enemy who keeps getting beat by the Thundercats.

  • @kherubhm That's a good point. But I think the knights would find a way to stop them regardless of the circumstances. After all, there was that episode where Morgana gave Lord Viper the power to project an image of himself over a distance. You can't say he wasn't formidable when weapons passed right through him with no damage.

  • @Omnitrix12, understood in some sense but the Warlords were built up to be this formidable force that would evoke fear and terror but yet they get beaten by some peasants in a village in this episode along with the Knights Of Justice so that has to be pretty embarrassing. Plus, remember Lord Viper, aka medievel Serpentor, isn't made out of stone but he also gets punked on a daily basis and even the Purple Horde Samurais later on got punked regularly even though they have more combat experience.

  • @kherubhm As for the Warlords being magically enhanced, I may as well point out that without the magic they were just chunks of rock, not even sculpted (I can't remember which episode, but I saw her making one out of "raw" stone). So (again, to be fair), there's not exactly much to build upon there.

  • @kherubhm I couldn't point you to exactly when Merlin said it just now; I currently have the choice of two computers; my laptop, which has a filter that bars YouTube (I decided this site was eating up too much of my time and disc space) and a company computer at the camp where I work, which has neither speakers nor the software to play YouTube videos, though I can exchange comments. But if memory serves, I think you'll find the line about them gaining knowledge in part 2.

  • @Omnitrix12, fair enough but the Warlords are also magically enhanced as well due to Morganna's sorcery. Plus, the Warlords technically have more combat experience than Arthur and his team. Being a football player may make you physically tough but it doesn't mean that it will help you in an actual fight-that's like saying that just because I play hockey that automatically means that I could take on a UFC fighter in the Octagon. Also, when was it stated the table gave the team combat experience?

  • @kherubhm Well, to be fair, those teenagers are using magic armor and weapons. And let's not forget that Merlin told the knights that the table would give them not only the gear, but the knowledge (and strength, I think) to use it. Besides, even if their strength weren't magically enhanced, football players are pretty tough.
