This is a preview of a 120-minute documentary, "Big City Dick: Richard Peterson's First Movie" made by Ken Harder, Scott Milam and Todd Pottinger.
Whether composing albums in the style of '50s television theme music (particularly Sea Hunt), or stalking celebrities like his idol Johnny Mathis or Jeff "son of Sea Hunt" Bridges, Richard Peterson is more than just your average autistic street performer. "Big City Dick" follows Peterson through nearly a decade of his life, depicting his many personal oddities as he seeks a regularly paying gig as a musician and composer.

I've known of Richard my whole life. He's a legend here in Seattle. Concerts in the 80's here meant standing in line all day for festival seating while Richard entertained us all. Just don't give him any Canadian money! If ya know him, you'll know why. :)

I've lived in Seattle almost 30 years so I've known about Richard almost the entire time. I even lived down the hall from him and have spoken him to him numerous times, although it has been a long time. I think Richard is a genuine person in a world so full of phonies. I guess what I'm trying to say is, I like Richard and I think he's a good guy.
