@84randomdude No worries, just glad to hear your informed...we all have to stand up, screw these guys for doing this, they installed one here a couple months ago, my mother was the only one home and she just thought nothing of it, now we find this shit out and wow is all i can say, makes me feel weird knowing their monitoring us, but we cant just take it off or they will shut off our power...we need enough people here to speak out and get this removed! peace&love(:

@TranceXAdddicT They're not installing one in my house. Not without breaking a couple locks and small chain that locks my electric meter box. And I'm home 90% of the time, so I'll know if they're trying to get past all that.

@84randomdude They say by 2012 90% of America will have it so... just cause you dont, get ready cause there coming...they do monitor, the smart meter has a chip, its a little thing called "Wire tapping" Not hard bro, think outside the box?

my power company here in NC doesn't. I just have a digital electric meter, that just measures the kwh usage. I even looked up the model of electric meter I have to be sure it didn't, even after asking a guy from the power co.

@mn2movies it's very evident that YOU don't have a brain. These things don't "monitor" how much energy you're using 24 hours a day. They track how much energy you use in a month, so the power co. can send you a bill for it. ask someone that works for a power co.
