For my motion graphics class we were given a brief to create a title sequence for an existing film or series.

I decided to create a title sequence that would fit in the beginning of the film Donnie Darko (I am not associated with the film in any fashion, this was created for educational purposes).

I decided to use the colours blue and black primarily, since they are featured in the existing promotional and packaging work for the film.

I chose to create it using hand drawn lines sequenced together, emphasizing the "not quite real" feel of the film.

I created the music using GarageBand, I tried to make the whole thing feel cheery, but also like it was getting darker and darker, like the film.

I haven't included the actual credits, it was my intention to have them appear alongside the floating drawings in the second half of the titles, but I ran out of time and didn't end up putting them in.

Thoughts and comments are always appreciated!
