Alex Rudinger - Soilwork - "Stabbing The Drama"

A few months back Threat Signal had some gigs in Ontario, Canada. Bjorn Strid happened to be in the area and we decided that it would be cool to do a live cover of this song and have Bjorn perform with us. The show was a lot of fun and performing with a member of Soilwork was kind of a dream come true for me - I've been a huge fan since I was a kid.

Since I learned this song to perform live I figured I might as well do a video for it. I asked Greg to record guitars for the tune so I wouldn't have to mix in a filtered audio track, and Mike Semesky said he'd be down to record some vocals. So, we decided we'd do a full 'Ordinance-Soilwork' cover. It's definitely safe to say that Soilwork has been a huge influence to all of us (both in Ordinance and Threat Signal!) and doing a full cover of one of their songs with my bros was a lot of fun.

I absolutely am in love with your drumming, Alex. As you can see, my name is Alex also, just saying. Haha, I can't explain how much I (and many others) appreciate you uploading these videos. I can easily say I give you around 200 views a day, without reasoning. I enjoy listening to your work very much. Haha, yeah to some extent. It's worse live - more adrenaline causes heavier hitting I guess.

@mdterps1042 Makes since, I recently got these, and the guys at guitar center felt like lecturing me on how they wear through heads faster lol, and after getting them I think they should worn people about the muscle cramps, and blisters they will get. I don't know about you, but these bastards really laid into my index fingers.

Best to keep the idea of using a marching stick on a kit to yourself. People love to lecture about that.

They're not for everyone. They're the heaviest marching stick and it takes a lot training/hand strength to use them. It seems like some people are buying them because it's sort of 'trendy' in the drum community. Just be careful and don't hurt yourself!

I'm thinking about switching to a lighter stick again, but I'm a little torn. We'll see how these other pairs record!
