A video review of the new Model S series using the mechanical Cherry MX Blue switches. These clicky switches offer great typing feedback for faster and more ergonomic typing.

Das Keyboard also makes the Silent model with MX Brown switches.

Professional Model has lettering on the keys, Ultimate Model has blank keys other than that they are the same.

2 Port USB 2.0 Hub, PS2 Support, Great look and feel.

  • Awesome review. How do you like your mouse? I have the G500, but it makes my hand sweat more than usual.

  • @bomb447 Like the MX518 a lot feels just right. I bought a 2nd one not too long ago, first one still worked great but it was on sale and the first one was getting worn just from so many years of use.

I use a Razer Orochi for my laptop since I prefer wireless for laptop use. No other desktop mouse have I used that I like quite as much as the MX518.

  • Glossy, uhhhh

  • @SmoKYexe Yeah, I would prefer if it was not as well but I can't knock it for being a bad keyboard because its great so just sort of accept that fact. Mine stays pretty clean as I never touch any of the glossy part only the keys but it will show dust more than some other keyboards may.

  • Das keyboards are overrated. Youd get the same feel with cheaper mechanical keyboard brands.

  • @Reason4Termination Like what? It is one of the cheapest mechs out there and built VERY well and plate mounted switches.

  • DOS Keyboard? :-/

  • if they had a different freq of sound for each different key that would make it so much better i think but im not even sure if that's feasible

  • Do all Ultimate s have cherry MX Blue Switches?

  • @ViciousXUSMC Well, the Razer Blackwidow for one uses the same switches, and I think costs $80 for the cheaper version, but I've heard cases of keys not working after a while. Rosewill also produces mechanical keyboards that are around $100, haven't heard anything bad about them really.

  • i had to return the das, i couldnt get past the gloss. went with a tenkeyless leopold otaku.

  • @ViciousXUSMC Most mechanical keyboards have plate mounted switches these days. But I know a few guys who have used Das, Steelseries, and Razer. Razer apparently doesn't come close in feel to Das and Steelseries. These all cost around the same - you can find some Leopold's and Filco's for cheaper if you get one without a numberpad. These are also top quality mechanical keyboards.

  • @trema12345 kk ^^ then like suggested "Ducky DK9008 , the Rosewill RK-9000 or the Filco Majestouch 104" ... I really like the rosewill ,too from what i´ve seen but i think neither the rosewill nor the ducky is available with german layout -.- and the filco is way too overpriced for offering NOTHING in my opinion ....

  • @NIGHTMAREger94 If this keyboard wasn't glossy I would buy it but it being glossy means it gets dirty easily and I do not want to cautious around my keyboard and cleaning it constantly when I can go for other options. I don't lnow why they decided to make this keyboard glossy considering it is always being touched

  • Fuck the Keyboard I want the Samurai Sword in the background
