I agree with what you say, but I need to precise that he only wrote 2 cycles ; that's a common mistake. Schwanengesang is not a cycle, because Schubert didn't intend it that way. it's just a collection of songs. but that's true all Schubert song "cycles" are wonderful !

keep on enjoying the entire cycle, one of the 3 composed by the father of the genre Schubert, composed in 1824, we find all kind of moods, from the joyful to the sad and melancholic ones, a masterpiece of a genius and to think that he wasn't well recognized during his lifetime, only time has taken charge to set Scubert's name among the greatest in history
