I'm almost 100% sure this is NOT how he plays it, but it's the closest I could get to figuring it out. Open G tuning, except the 6th string is tuned down an extra half step.

C#
G
D
G
B
D

Capo on the 3rd fret. It's such a great little song, and I hope this at least provides a decent skeleton for someone who wants to improve on it. I've been such a huge fan since "Fi", so this release really got me excited.

  • great job, man. I tuned the 6th string down to C instead of C sharp, sounds fantastic.

  • yo this is great. sounds pretty sick i wish i was motivated enough to untune and retune my guitar to that.

  • can you put a video on how to play Cry! baby! please ive looked everywhere for videos on how too play it but havent found anything

  • You should do a run through of the song at the end of the video. It helps us visual learners. Otherwise, sounds spot on.

  • With the tuning used and the capo on the 3rd fret the tuning should be E, Bb, F, Bb, D, F, right?

I tuned my guitar to that with no capo and it sounds different from yours, especially my 6th string. I tuned mine to your video and it comes out at Eb o_O Can anyone help?

  • Good job! It actually sounds a lot like the original.. like 98% imo ;)

  • Thank you

  • perfect. ive been searching fruitlessly for tabs on this song but you nailed it. thanks alot, man. i don't know how you thought of open G...

  • thanks for introducing me to Bibio. Just had a listen to the original and its got a really nice mellow, wistful vibe. i'm sure you had fun trying to work out the tuning! well done!
