We can't destroy or create energy. Same as we can't destroy or create matter. However, we can change matter into energy, and change one form of energy into another.

It's a shame science hasn't gotten very far with creating matter from energy though. I'd like to have my Replicator (and teleporter, holodeck, etc) now, please. :)

Wimp. Just kidding. :) Honestly, if a teacher was interested in using something like that in a class, I could very easily send them a copy minus the music. I keep the raw footage and the video project files for just that reason.

I'll see if he's interested, but he's one of those teachers that won't do anything that's not in the text book, which is mainly why I never learn anything.
