  • the mother rabbit is pupping and scruging ew!

  • The babies are born nearly hairless n with their eyes closed…

By the 4th day, they will have fur n by the 11th day their eyes will be open…

Mother rabbits have such rich milk that they only need to feed once a day, mostly at night…

In about 2wks, they will be eating solid feed…

At 6 wks, (month 1/2) the babies will be ready to leave mother…

  • Female rabbits are ready to mate @ 4 to 6 months n will become good mothers… Rabbits can have 5 to 12 babies, but to have a big litter its best to mate the doe with 2 males…Does will become pregnant @ first mating… Add nest box on 28th day babies are born on 30th day…

A day or two or on the same day of birth, the mother will make a nest… my doe nest on the day of birth…

  • my rabbit just gave birth a few hours ago she is very young and did not make any nest or what...so i made a nest and stuff but she doesnt seem to be caring for them.

also the person who gave me my rabbits said that were both males..im not sure what else to do

  • haha no not an immaculate conception we have a male lop ear aswell, she was getting old and we thought it would be nice for her to experience motherhood before she went to the big carrot patch in the sky. no all her babies are in nice homes :)

  • Most interesting; an immaculate conception I assume. Responsible pet owners prevent their charges from getting pregnant and contributing to the overwhelming numbers of abused and neglected animals. I'm glad these babies got homes, hopefully not in squalid little coffin cages at the back of the yard.
