I love this song and it just dawned on me that Katee Sackhoff looks like Anne. Maybe she'll play her in a movie someday. I loved Anne as a child. I sang her songs all the time

If I was a Junco I would be honored. Yes, the subject of this song is the Dark-eyed Junco. (Junco hymalis) also known collectively as a "Snowbird" as they arrive further south with the first snow of the season. They breed in the boreal forests of the Northern US and Canada. They are small 5 in sparrows that are common feeder patrons during the winter months. Males are slate gray with a white breast and white outer tail feathers. Female plumage is more subdued.
