我が家のワンちゃん（オラフ）にも、教えたのですが、バランスが­悪いのか駄目でした。(T_T)

バセットハウンドは体型的にバランスが悪いので

でも！出来なくても可愛いです。

しょこらは大好物を見せた時に、自ら立ち上がるようになって

それ以来この芸をするようになりました。

友達のバセットちゃんも、教えたのですがダメだったみたいです。

同じバセットでも、後ろ脚の骨格の違いで

できる子とできない子がいるのかな?と思います。

Be careful of your Basset Hound's back making her sit for too long as it's easily damaged with them being so long!

One of my Bassets, who is a bit shorter than my other one, sits up like that but I'm always careful with her and never force her to do it as I would hate her to fall over and twist herself!

I do care for her back, because

long-bodied dogs gets hernia easily.

So I make her stand-up just a short minute. :)

rich is right don't make her sit-up very much, just like a dachshund their backs are too long. I had to have 2 bassets "put-down" because of the pain they had in their backs. Don't let them get overweight either that weight pulling down is hard on the back.

With that being said, enjoy your dog, bassets are the best!

One of my Bassets could do that too and she could also flip a milkbone treat off her nose into her mouth. :)

That's awesome. The only trick my basset seems to want to learn is "Sit" and "Get in your chair". He also knows "no" but that's not really a trick. lol

This is cute but with the basset's short body, this could really cause spine problems in later life. You might want to stop doing that for a while. Cute though!
