  • I'm fed up with the grand-daddys talking crap about Rabin. Anybody who understands the minimum about musicianship and audio production knows what an excellent performer, composer and record producer Rabin is.

Even Wakeman said that without 90125 there wouldn't be a YES today.

In my opinion Talk is one of the best YES albums ever, and Endless Dream their last great masterpiece.

  • This is the first Yes CD that I really connected with. As such it stands as a timeless favourite of mine. I can't find it in me to hate it for any reason.

  • @yesshows100 I gues its all about the one that gives chills..if you have a chance listen to Trevor's solo stuff..Did you know that the music in most movies of todays is made by Trevor rabin? He left Yes in 1995 and started scoring. He has a new Jazz album coming soon as well.

  • @stevezane

I agree. I'm not going by the magazine. Seeing is believing! 1971 -1979. Steve Howe from 1989 - current is a shell of himself. Starting with ABWH I knew it was over! I have friends that play guitar that thought Jimmy Page and Eric Clapton were the best ever, until they saw YES in the 1970's.

  • @yesshows100 I'll be honest with you..I find all these magazines not very credible..You can ask many guitar players out there what we think about polls.Howe is by far the best guitar player..I can give you names that would make How a joke.Trevor Rabin was always an underated guitar player..only guitar players really understand what Trevor is all about.

  • You can't compare Babe Ruth (Steve Howe) to a little league player, Trever Rabin. All I know is this. When I saw Yes with Steve Howe in 1979, people walked out saying Howe is the greatest ever! Noone said that about Trever after the show. He was very sloppy during Yours is no disgrace. I love 90125, Big Generator and Talk. I think Trever is great, but Steve Howe is from another planet!! Watch the intro to Close to the Edge 1975, Queens Park, Trever's fingers would fall off trying to do that!

  • @stevezane Trever is great but, Howe was voted "Best Overall Guitarist" in Guitar Player magazine five years in a row 1977–1981 and was inducted into Guitar Player's "Gallery of Greats" in 1981.The only other two guitarists to win the "Best Overall Guitarist" category for the "Gallery Of Greats" are Steve Morse and Eric Johnson. Gibson Guitar Corporation,, said that Howe "elevated rock guitar into an art form" and "helped define a new style of music known as art rock. Trever Who!

  • @MrDaveintampa How can you deny that, when 80% of the music from the albums in which he was involved are his inspirations

Agreed, Chris is the one who held YES together (or at least the brand name rights) but what he did is just recruiting first Rabin and then Sherwood to keep the sound of "the band" (brand) updated and fresh That's not a savior. If you ask me, that's being opportunistic (or visionary perhaps) And you need to take notice how many years are between Drama and Union

  • @Jedizen07 Sorry I wrote in spanish. But basically I'm saying the same I wrote on my other comment. I also state, with this album, it seems to me, Rabin got it right, this time 100%, what Yesmusic is all about. And that's what makes this album such a masterpiece.

  • @lovehewitt1fan Because it comes with the stigma of being a "Rabin era" album. Is a shame they still don't give the credit Rabin deserves. Hey! you can't teach an old dog new tricks. Even if these are excellent or better than the ones they've learned.

Saying the "real" YES died with Tormato is so stupid and short sighted. How could possible the creativity of musicians of their caliber could be done by their thirties?

I think they really bought that "Punk killed Prog" mantra BS
