A Tribute to Cory Aquino & The People Power Revolution - 1986 Photos

A Filipino-American, I visited the Philippines for my 1st time during the spring of 1986 -- a graduation gift, to not only see the majority of relatives whom I've never met, but also a rare opportunity in history to embrace the spirit of the filipino people and cultural heritage of a nation.

This photo-video collage (2nd version) offers a different perspective and shows some personal archived photos that I took during my tour through the rugged and beautiful countryside of Luzon, including photos of the rallies that followed the events at EDSA (1).




The song in this video, "Handog ng Pilipino sa Mundo", which translates to "The Filipinos' Offering to the World" was first aired in April '86 by some of the top Filipino artists in tribute to this historic event.

This video is dedicated to the memory of Cory Aquino and all those who participated in the People Power Revolution.
