Knowing how much Jews loved the mambo, Prado got rid of the "Hava Nagilah" lyrics and turned it into into a Twist, complete with his signature grunts and sparkling brass section

  • it was a joke, so have something to eat,get over it

  • GREAT!! There are groups who play mambo today?

  • Sheer awesomeness...I found out that Jewish mambo was super-prevalent in the 40s and 50s when listening to KPFK the other day out of Los Angeles...apparently all these jazz musicians of the time started becoming obsessed with mambo, and there was some parody, some legit fusion....I guess even the Latino musicians of the time began doing Latin versions of Jewish versions of Latin songs... fusion rules--LOVE IT!

  • @iatedmen as a Jew, I am thinking it was a joke :)

  • Hello, I am not Jew, but..., where did you find that "how much Jews loved the mambo" ??? I doubt that Jews (in general) have a special liking to mambo...

  • I have been trying to get this music for 40 years (it was my favourite tune when I was a child and we didn't have even a tape recorder). Thank you for it!

  • really impressively vinylish sounding highs for a youtube post!

nice job (what tech notes can you share on that?)
