Spurrier never received the Heisman Trophy in New York, he was informed when he was in Gainesville. That's why there's no footage.

I (very respectfully) disagree. Steve did fly to New York along with Ray Graves and President Reitz where he (Spurrier) presented the trophy to Dr. Reitz. It was shown on the sports news, etc. and was in the newspapers but there was no live TV coverage of the Heisman back then.

I didn't forget Spurrier. When Spurrier won the Heisman, it was not on television and there was not such thing as a VCR or anything else to record video from TV. Spurrier won the Heisman when I was a freshman at UF. He was one of my heros growing up and still is. He was the first H. winner to give his trophy to the school. After Spurrier the Heisman Trust started awarding 2 trophis, one for the winner and one for the school.

Hahaha i love that uga fans have nothing else to cling to anymore than what will happen in the NFL to Tebow!!! Who cares? they're two different games.
