Get the one that feels better in your hands. Whichever grips better in your hands. I will say one thing I haven't really found a big use yet for the tilt screen. Also consider that the 500d may have 1080 but its really a crippled 1080 that is not really worth shooting in.

And anyways, I don't see the point in making videos with reflex cameras... If you're not into buisness, you're not going to need it and if you are you're going to need a serious video camera..

@sixtx Actually nothing could be further from the tRuth. Because of their huge sensors DSLRs are becoming more popular to shoot movies with then Camcorders. Some of the skits on SNL are even filmed with DSLRs now and for Independent movie shooters its a dream come true. A DSLR can get better results or about the same as a $5K camcorder now. Not to mention the different Lents we can attach. Also the little advantages like being more compact.
