@MrSquid21 Doesn't really defy gravity, that's just the catchy name that was given to the earthcache. Technically it is gravity that plays a part in the well. An artesian well is made by drilling through an impermeable rock layer into an aquifer rock layer where the underground water aquifer is flowing to the well from a higher elevation. The water is then forced out of the ground by hydrostatic pressure.
