This project utilizes recyclable empty plastic mineral water (PET) bottles of 500 ml, fishing lines or nylon and fishing net. The net is cut into a rectangular shape approx. 1.5 ft in width and 4 ft in length with square hole at the middle which would allow the passage of the users head. Ten (10) empty covered 500 ml. bottles were sewn into the fishing net in the front and ten (10) at the back which serves as floaters. Strings were provided to tighten and secure the user into the life jacket. The jacket is able to carry a 130 lb user, to increase the capacity of the jacket increase the number of empty plastic bottles.
