An unofficial music video of the song "Mr. November" from the album Alligator by indie rock band The National.

This video compiles the greatest hits of the 2008 Obama campaign, from his life story to his historic primary campaign to the current general election with VP Joe Biden.
Although "Mr. November" was originally written following John Kerry's loss in 2004, the band now states that it is applicable to Barack Obama. They even sold "Mr. November" t-shirts at AmericanMary.com to raise funds for Obama's campaign.

I think this song is actually a satire of political candidates who claim to be so great and that they're going to fix everything, which is ALL of them, and then they fuck stuff up.

Yeah.. you are absolutely right! And i am sorry didnt want too criticize the US alone. Our country is also a mess.. Greece is a big ( lazy ) mess, England a mess.. Belgium.. Time to go back at the stone-age again.

Ok.. the situation how I look at it from holland:
Republican is president. Republican makes a mess of it. A Democrat is president, A Democrat is trying to fix it. Democrat cannot fix it, making more wrong choices. The People wants a Republican back, to fix the bigger mess.

I cried. For the first time in my life I have a President I can be truly proud of and look up to. For those that will say it's too early to call something like that, it's not. Even if Obama doesn't solve all the worlds problems (which he won't) he's still a great man and he has the best interests of the country in mind.
