This is a oneshot, called "A Morning that Rarely Comes," by Haruki Fujimoto. It's about a man who delivers papers before dawn each morning. Along his paper route, he passes a single apartment that always has its lights on, even though the rest of the world is sleeping. He wonders about the light until he meets the apartment's occupant, an intriguing manga artist who works through every night and sleeps away the days.
