I have restored and uploaded Michael Jackson and the Jackson 5 at Motown 25 for educational purposes, to demonstrate how video can be vastly improved using commercially available (and in some cases free) software.

I also upload this to protest the poor quality of the "Michael Jackson's Vision" DVD set released by Sony over a year ago. The set was supposed to contain fully restored and remastered versions of all of Michael Jackson's short films. Unfortunately, not a single one was restored. Sony, in effect, lied about the quality of the videos in that set.

So, to demonstrate how easy it would be for Sony to clean up and preserve these national treasures, I have taken it upon myself to create my own restored versions of them.

I do not upload this for profit, but for the purposes of education and criticism of Sony for their inferior "restored" versions of Michael Jackson's work.

If you enjoy these restorations, please contact Sony and ask them to create a properly restored Blu-Ray set of all of Michael Jackson's short films. Be sure to ask them to create the new set from newly scanned high definition prints from the best available original elements. This will ensure the highest quality possible.

Together, perhaps we can convince Sony that it is in their best interest to treat Michael Jackson's work with the respect it deserves.

great job on all the vids, & I totally support the petition, but the audio is just a hair off for the entire thing and it becomes more noticeable during Billie Jean

@tito1814 The audio offset is likely due to YouTube's re-encoding of the file. I wish they would just set up one format as the default for everyone, so that they wouldn't have to re-encode every video that gets uploaded.

@allmychit (part 3 of 3) And finally, the FBI files about Jackson were released in 2010 : they claimed that in 15 years of taping, following the man, searching through his computers, phones, everything, they concluded MJ NEVER was a pedophile.

If you live in the USA, this is a generalised rumors about Mr. Jackson, but elsewhere in the world, we had better coverage of the whole thing I guess, and we know he was a true humanitarian, who never hurt a child in his life.

@allmychit Actually MJ never harm any child at all. I suggest you read Aphrodite Jones's "Conspiration", you see all the transcripts from the trial and the whole story.

The Arvizo family were professionnals in the fraud world, stealing the governement, insurances companies etc. They tried to get Jay Leno, Chris Tucker, George Lopez and many more. The trial was such a circus, when you read the book, you cannot understand how this whole joke went to court, if only to make some lawyers richer!
