recorded 3/20/99 Paramount Theatre, Oakland Ca.
I have no idea why he titled it "Kansas"

I feel like I just woke up
from a bad dream
And it's so good to have you
sleeping by my side
Although I'm not so sure
if I even know your name
Hold on, baby, hold on
We can go gliding through the air
Far from the jeers and lies

Yeah you are the one
I'm talkin' to this morning
With your mind so fine
and your friendly body lying
In my bungalow with stucco
With glory and sunset spa
Hold on, baby, hold on
It doesn't matter if you're the one
'Cause we'll know before we're done

  • @senoroscar54 killer

  • I always prefered Neil easy and low like this. Not that he aint good at making noise. Just prefer him like this. Serious lyrics and poetry.

  • Neil you're the man!

  • I believe this song is about Carrie Snodgrass.

  • @TheGitfiddlekid Sound it out. That's the way I learned to play three years ago. It's better to play by ear, because you can play anything you want just by listening to it, and after while, it becomes extremely easy.

  • favortite song of the infamous "shut up A#$hole "tour...such an awesomw song somethin bout it

  • @secretstrummer it's1974-1975. would have been on the album Homegrown which he decided not to release. other songs were: STAR OF BETHLEHEM, MEXICO, LITTLE WING, FLORIDA,FROZEN MAN, OLD HOMESTEAD, LOVE IS A ROSE, HOMEFIRES....therre were others i can't think of

  • Neil Young played this song for the "Trunk Show", that was filmed in 2007.

  • This song was originally from an unreleased album called Homegrown. There were a few of songs on it that were named after states. Not sure why though.
