Sethi: Pak Needs Peace with India -1/2

Najam Sethi - Cambridge educated renowned Pakistani journalist and editor of the Friday Times - makes a strong case for peace with India. He explains how: (a) Pak establishment knows that it cannot get Kashmir; (b) Taliban now pose the greatest threat to internal security; (c) Pakistan is very weak economically; and (d) world opinion is strongly in favor of India. He believes Pakistan needs to reopen back channel dialog with India similar to what was conducted during Pervez Musharraf's regime over Kashmir. This interview was recorded as part of Dunya TV program in December 2009.

I wish Pakistani Rulers, army and ISI should understand that hate against India will not do any good for their own country. In the whole world Pakistan has become a hotbed of terrorist activities.Under pressuer of Wasington Pakistan is eliminating Talibaan and Al- quida elements and inconsequence to this facinf the ire of Talibaan . This is evident from the Bomb Blasts taking place in Pakistan every other day.

my pakistani friends .... its not about supporting najab sethi but you seroiusly need to think about the stuff this guy talked about ..... he is soooo right ...... i am an indian and i wish pakistan maintains its sovereignty ....... sovereign pakistan is the only good option to this world .... you military and ISI thinks that india is tryng to take over pakistan ..... india has not interest and no profit in taking over pakistan ...... pakistan needs to open its eyes when it comes to this matter

This fellow is in the minority anyway. He was arrested and tortured by ISI when Nawaz Sharif was PM. Pakistan is still dominated by Punjabi mullah hardliners who hate 'Hindu' India. They dont care about Indiam muslims either ( eg Muhajir ), or Balochis. India needs to concentrate on its own development. Someone else ( most probably US) is gonna take out the Porkis soon. Saudis and China will make noises but they do not give a rats ass.
